Choose to eat only fruit before noon. This will allow your body to cleanse. The easiest way to incorporate the most fruits, in a time effective manner is with a blender. Your blender can be basic or it can be as intricate as the Vita Mix. If you do not own a blender, shop smart for one. Look for the best quality blender that you can afford. Shop resale shops for a Vita Mix or other named brand blender. Or shop online and look for quality ratings when making your final purchasing decisions.

Start the morning with a rich fruit smoothie. Add frozen ripe banana’s to create a thick milk shake like consistency. Deep colored berries such as blue berries or strawberries are great fresh or frozen. Consider adding peaches, pineapples, kiwi fruit, plums, apples, grapes, or melons. The possible flavor combinations to your drink are endless. If you enjoy milk in your smoothies add regular milk, soy milk, rice milk, or almond milk.

Use a measuring cup, to measure your ingredients. Using a ¼ to ½ measuring cup, can help you to add proper portion sizes to the blender. Large fruits such as melons or pineapple can be cubed and placed in sandwich bags or plastic containers until needed. Buying discount banana’s that are ripe and on sale is great. When you arrive home immediately unpeel. Add the bananas to a freezer bag, seal, and freeze.

Healthy Snacks for Work

Bring a mid morning snack with you. You may be tempted during mid day to eat out of the vending machine, or at a fast food restaurant. Being prepared can help to curb your need to eat junk food. Bring along fruit salads or whole fruits to the office, school, or on your daily errands.

Eating only fruit until noon is a great way to easily eat 5 to 9 servings of fruit in a day. This way of eating will help you to think clearly in the mornings and improve your memory. You may become more regular due to the added fiber content of the fruit. It can help you to loose weight, and keep additional pounds off your body.
