Losing weight has to start with strong determination, a strong conviction and a stronger will-power. But we are seldom equipped with such mental facilities; after all, temptations rule our minds first! It’s the hardest thing to get over temptations and embark on a weight-loss journey. But yes, once on it, there is nothing more gratifying than starting to lose those 500 grams or a kilo. But the big question is – how does one start this journey? And how does one get the physical system to respond to the program instantly?

The First Step

When you decide to start your weight-loss program, the first step is to make your body ready for it. This is the most difficult step. The first step is to detoxify your body of all its waste matter.

Apples and Lemon Water

You do this by a very natural method:

  1. Start your day early in the morning with about 6 glasses of water and a glass of fresh sweet and salt lemon water. Do not add soda (gas) to your drink. It only worsens the start of the day. After about 20 to 30 minutes, you will see your body starting to clear itself of all waste, in the form of urine and stools. Your Detoxification Program has started.
  2. After you have cleared your system of all waste matter, indulge in a fruit salad. A fruit salad is just an interesting alternative to only one fruit. In fact, just apple is what is recommended at this stage.
  3. Drink about 3 glasses of water again.The water generally keeps hunger at bay, but in case of hunger pangs, you can indulge in more apples.
  4. Keep repeating the lime-water at 4-6 hr intervals. The lemon water keeps the energy levels of the body intact. Try and drink lemon-water without salt and only sugar, except for the first time of the day. This helps to subtract all excess sodium deposits from the body.
  5. The meal at night should be nothing more than 2 apples and sweet lemon water again.

Observe this regime for 1 ½ to 2 days and see your weight drop by about a kilo and a half instantly.

Caution: Take care not to travel in direct sunlight these two days. And always have fresh lemon water – prepare it yourself. Fresh Coconut water can also be had, in place of fresh lemon water. Both have the same affect on the body.

This lost weight does not come back as quickly, as this is the weight of all excess water, waste, etc inside your system. This weight-loss not only gives you the inspiration to get ahead with your weight-loss journey, but also provides your body the necessary preparation for the complex diet routines ahead.
