Your wedding is quickly approaching and you want to look gorgeous in your wedding dress. Planning a wedding can be really stressful which sometimes leads to eating too much. Here are some great tips for all you soon-to-be-brides on how to lose a few pounds and stay in shape for your big day.

Exercise

If you really want to lose weight, you will need to- at minimum- exercise 30 minutes three to four days a week. Here’s a great tip for exercising. Pick an exercise that you really like and stick with it until you’re used to working out. If you’re strapped for cash, smaller gyms have super cheap memberships… and they’re well worth it.

Weight training is important in weight loss. It’s a little different than exercise because the more muscles tissue you have, the more calories you’re going to burn. The reason is because muscle is an active tissue; and we all know that fat is not. This is why your muscles will burn more calories each day for it’s own maintenance.

Ditch the Junk Food and Eat Right

No more snacking or eating three big meals. Instead eat five small meals a day instead. This will help speed up your metabolism, which is important in losing weight. This plan is pretty simple; just burn more calories than what you eat.

You can eat whatever you want, that’s healthy of course, just as long as you can burn off those calories. If you eat more than what your body uses, you’re going to gain weight. So eating less fat will help you lose the weight. Just remember, eating less fat and replacing it with excessive amounts of “fat-free” products will not help you lose weight.

Counting calories might not seem like a lot fun, but it does help. Do your best to keep track of everything that you eat that day. At the end of the day, add up all the calories and weigh yourself. For beginners, it’s best to subtract 500 calories from what you would normally eat. For example, if you consume 1,500 calories a day, make it 1,000 and keep this up for the next seven days.

Drinking water increases the rate in which you burn calories and it will also help speed up your metabolism and helps you remain full, which means no more snacking on junk food. Too much pop or coffee can raise your blood pressure and your heart rate making it extra difficult for you to drop the weight. Not to mention, pop and coffee make you hungry and you’re trying to lose weight.

Pick a Plan and Stick With It

Choose a weight plan that you know you can stick with five months from now. You want a weight loss plan that will not only help you lose and keep the weight off, but a plan that’s easy for you to follow.

Follow these tips and you’ll drop those five extra pounds and you’ll look absolutely stunning on your big day!
