Have you tried everything to lose weight and not been successful? Here is another plan that might change the way you think.

There are so many diet books and fads that dieting can be quite daunting. Are carbs good for us or bad? What about fat? Should we cut it all out? Another problem is that there are many differing opinions. It’s hard to get the facts. But one way to be sure if a weight loss plan works is healthy results. Let’s Do Lunch is one such plan.

Let’s Do Lunch is more than a book with a diet a plan. It is the inspiring true story of Roger Troy Wilson’s dramatic weight loss and how he has kept the weight off, all the while maintaining excellent health.

Let’s Do Lunch begins like most other diet books. It extols the virtues of following this plan closely, peppered with testimonials. Readers shouldn’t be fooled by this. The story that follows is amazing, mainly because it is true.

The Weight Loss Rollercoaster

Wilson was like most that are overweight. His journey is so common that many will feel like they are reading about themselves. He has ridden that rollercoaster.

Wilson was successful at everything in life except in one area – his weight. He tried everything under the sun and each time he failed. The weight piled on and he got to about 430lbs with a waist bigger than five feet. He was depressed and miserable until one day he stumbled on something by accident.

Wilson came across some grapes that his son put in the freezer. Thinking the grapes were ruined, he gave his son a hard time about spoiling good food. When his son told him that not only were the grapes fine, but that freezing grapes actually enhanced the sweetness, Wilson was amazed. He tried them immediately and loved the frozen grapes.

Adding Fruits To The Diet

This led Wilson to try other fruits. He found that he loved the fruits and this helped him satisfy his sweet tooth. He felt God calling him to try other foods combinations and this was the genesis of his plan he has called Let’s Do Lunch.

Over the years Wilson experimented with food and came up with some key strategies and what he calls the 4 Big Secrets. He has come to the belief that fructose is not fattening regardless of the calories. This proved to be the base of Let’s Do Lunch.

The 4 Big Secrets of Let’s Do Lunch

Eating a little fruit everyday is one of the 4 Big Secrets. Wilson claims that by eating the sweetest, freshest fruit, our cravings for sweets will be banished. We get all the benefits of the fruit and the sweetness of the natural sugar, without the fattening effects of processed sugar.

Big Secret 2 is where the diet plan derives its name. It’s also what sets it apart from most other plans. We are to make lunch your main meal of the day. Of course this is flexible, because life throw’s things at us. But when it’s possible, Wilson suggests that we eat the main meal at lunch.

The next secret is to choose the least fattening option that tastes good to us. Wilson is big on making sure that dieters are content with what they are eating. This is good because, as most that have failed at a diet knows, if someone doesn’t like what they are eating, they won’t be eating it long. Wilson brings balance to this to suggest what others have, that we eat a low fat alternative.

Big Secret 4 tells us to eat corn, beans, and peas rather than breads, pasta, potatoes, and rice. Now, Wilson admits that he wasn’t able to give up bread completely. He gives us tips to eat a healthy alternative and at least lessen the amount of bread that is eaten in a day.

Eating Tips, a Meal Guide, and More

The book expounds on these 4 Big Secrets and the seven strategies, as well as giving many tips. One of the tips that I think is very important is that fat-free does not mean nonfattening. This is something that needs to be remembered. There are many foods that have no fat but they’re still fattening.

Wilson gives us many tools to help us be successful on the Let’s Do Lunch plan. He gives us a 14 day meal guide, a huge list of acceptable food, and some great recipes. There is also a website that you can go to for more information. It has an active forum that is very helpful. Wilson is constantly posting there, so he is definitely accessible.

Wilson Puts His Money Where His Mouth Is

Roger Troy Wilson truly feels that this plan was a gift to him from God. He feels that he needs to share this with the world. To show his commitment, Wilson gives every penny made from the sale of Let’s Do Lunch to charity.

He has done this diet and been successful for over 15 years. He is very healthy and enjoys life to the fullest. While he may not be a nutritionist, he does see through all the chatter. Maybe that’s what we needed all along.

I would suggest that before you try this diet, talk to your doctor.
